MONROE — The president and CEO of Canyon Creek Cabinet Company is stepping down at the end of the year.
Bill Weaver has led the company for more than 20 years.
“Over the years, I think my proudest achievement has been to work with so many great people at Canyon Creek,” Weaver said in a statement. “In 1995, we took what was a small company on the verge of bankruptcy and built it into the major regional company that it is today.
His successor, Bob Foote, was promoted earlier this month to president. Foote joined Canyon Creek as an executive vice president in January 2015.
“Canyon Creek has built such a great reputation in this industry and I’m looking forward to taking on the challenges of my new role,” said Foote, in the statement. “Customers love our custom capabilities and flexibility.”
Canyon Creek operates a 285,000-square-foot factory and showroom in Monroe and markets its line of custom cabinets and closet and storage spaces to designs, builders and independent dealers around the U.S. The company employs 425.
Weaver started with Canyon Creek as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing and later became executive vice president. He was promoted to president in 1999 and CEO was added to his title in 2000.
Foote’s education, extensive cabinet industry manufacturing experience, along with his team-building leadership skills are expected to be instrumental to the company’s continued success.
“Continued operational improvement driven by a focus on lean manufacturing principles will enable an efficient migration of the business to the higher-end product mix customers want,” Foote said.
