The New York Times reports on the new inflight entertainment system that Matsushita Avionics Systems has installed on flights operated by Song, Delta Airlines’ low-fare subsidiary.
The system is a key part of Song’s efforts to compete with JetBlue on the East Coast. It’s also a big step for MAS — the first system designed to operate on single-aisle jets used on domestic routes.
The paper’s verdict: “How does the Song system perform? Splendidly, when it works.”
