The staff at Paine Field found their own way to pay tribute to the Boeing Co.’s new plane. They’ve developed a giant 7-8-7 in the grass between runways.
The process began in mid-May when the Paine Field crew plotted the 250-feet tall numerals on the airfield using GPS. They’ve continued to fertilize and mow outside the numbers, creating the visible 787 you see today
