Soaring jet sales and increased plane production are expected to push the Boeing Co.’s profit up 39 percent over last year, according to news reports out this morning.
Boeing will share its third quarter earnings tomorrow.
Most news stories put Boeing’s profit up $1.24 per share, an increase from the 89 cents per share reported in the third quarter of 2006.
Boeing delivered 109 jets in the July to September timeframe, showing increases in deliveries of its Renton-built 737 and its Everett-built 747. The company likely will top 1,000 commercial plane orders again this year, sitting at 919 net orders on Oct. 16.
