Seminars on the hows and whys of buying a home will be part of the third annual Snohomish County Home Ownership Fair this weekend in Everett.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave.
Some 35 exhibitors will have booths set up around Everett Station.
The program is sponsored by banks and housing organizations. It is intended to help people learn how to qualify for a mortgage and buy a home.
In addition to exhibits, seminars will run between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on topics such as “Home-buying Basics,” “Steps to Homeownership,” “Down Payment Assistance” and “Understanding Credit.”
Other sessions will cover “Why Buy a Home” and “Is Homeownership for You?”
Translators will be available for people who speak Russian, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, Hmong and Arabic.
