Singapore Airlines has ordered three 777s from the Boeing Co., a deal worth more than $450 million at list prices.
Boeing added the new planes to its orders list this week. The deal was not announced formally by either the airline or the company.
Singapore has bought 13 of the 18 777s Boeing has sold this year. The planes have list prices between $152 million and $231.5 million, depending on the specific model. Discounts are common, however.
Boeing sold 115 777s last year, a record.
Boeing also took orders on seven more 737s during the week, with six going to unidentified airlines and one being sold as a business jet.
The company has taken 192 new orders this year. Officials say they hope to book 400 by year’s end.
