The price of the average home in Snohomish County has fallen to $311,000, about the same as in 2005, the Northwest Multiple Listing Service reported Tuesday.
The annual report from the listing service showed that 7,791 single-family homes and condominiums were sold in the county last year with a combined value of $2.4 billion. Last year’s sales marked a 1.7 percent increase from 2008, sparked by the $8,000 income tax break for first-time home buyers.

The median price for a single-family home in the county, meaning half sold for less and half sold for more, was $298,990. The cheapest home cost $5,000. The most expensive was $3 million.
There were 21 homes valued at $1 million and up here last year, compared to 25 in Pierce County and 672 in King County.
