DETROIT — It appears the best Taco Bell in America resides in mid-Michigan.
Employees at Taco Bell’s Midland Mall location celebrated being No. 1 in the chain with Xbox consoles Thursday. The restaurant beat out more than 7,000 Taco Bell locations across the company on customer service and cleanliness, among other corporate requirements.
The location’s restaurant general manager, Jennifer Avery, was awarded RGM of the year, receiving an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii. The company also recognized Anastacia DeMitchell, from a Taco Bell in Frankenmuth, and Donna Hankins, from a Grand Haven Taco Bell, as part of the elite 100 Golden Bell RGM recognition recipients.
The Midland location is part of Mariane Inc., a Michigan-based Taco Bell franchise group.
“While we are ecstatic to learn that Jennifer received this prestigious accolade, we can’t say that we are surprised,” Rodney Walker, owner of Mariane Inc., said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to recognize this well-deserving member of our Taco Bell family.”
