There’s a lot happening right now in small business news — so much, in fact, that I’m starting to suspect a conspiracy by the makers of High Fidelity.
Not really. But there is a lot of news to keep up with today, so I’ll just give you the highlights.
Obama’s small-business bailout is still on the table, and there’s plenty of talk about what it will and won’t do. The American Small Business League is concerned about the president’s “real agenda.” And some small businesses aren’t too impressed with the proposal, saying “thanks, but no thanks.”
Meanwhile, entrepreneurs and small-firm owners aren’t too giddy about the economic outlook, according to a monthly poll by Discover. But a study from Intuit says small businesses are ready to hire.
Oh, and one more thing: Holiday parties this year could be much more frugal, according to the Associated Press. And much more fun.
