Washington state’s taxable retail sales increased 7.4 percent in the third quarter of 2016 over the same quarter in 2015, reaching $38.5 billion.
Retail trade, which is a subset of all taxable retail sales, rose 5.8 percent to $16.33 billion. These figures are part of a quarterly report released Feb. 8 by the Washington State Department of Revenue.
