Carnation challenge

Carnation wants to know how you use evaporated milk in your favorite dishes and is holding the Carnation Challenge to find out.

One grand-prize winner will receive a $5,000 Target gift certificate and 100 people will receive $50 certificates.

Carnation suggests using evaporated milk in place of half-and-half to make recipes richer and creamier, yet lower in fat.

Add this “slimmer cream” to coffee, fettuccine Alfredo sauce, quiche filling, custard or homemade ice cream recipes and reduce fat instantly.

Regular, low fat or fat-free evaporated milk can also be used in recipes that call for adding refrigerated milk.

Contest runs through Feb. 28.

To enter the Carnation Challenge, visit www.verybestbaking.com.
