Light show: Photo vellum lamps by AE Jennings Designs, available at C’est la Vie, have original photographs on each panel printed on photo vellum with a process that prevents fading by sunshine or the light from the bulb. Adrienne Jennings, the lamps’ designer, has traveled the world to capture the photographs of pastoral scenes and urban landscapes. The line has been discontinued but more than five table and floor lamps are still available at C’est la Vie; $240 dunes lamp.
Light stories: These tribal-inspired candles in vivid colors and designs are hand-painted in South Africa, the “Rainbow Nation.” Each candle tells a story and represents the variety of landscapes and diversity of cultures. $13 per pair for 10-inch tapers, $18 cube.
