Pacifica Chamber Orchestra: The “Summer Concert” will be performed 3 p.m. Aug. 9 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 2301 Hoyt Ave., Everett. The Buddy Holly Story: The Buddy Holly tribute show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Gavan Rousseau plays Buddy Holly and is backed by the The Casino Brothers and Gem Tones bands in a show that tells the stories behind the songs and life of Buddy Holly. Queen Nation: The Queen tribute band will perform 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Silver, Blue & Gold and Janis Lives: The Bad Company and Janis Joplin tribute bands will perform 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Peter Rivera with Geoffrey Castle: The drummer from Rare Earth and the six-string electric violinist will put on a show 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Rivera is the original drummer and lead singer behind all of Rare Earth’s hits. Castle is known for his shows that bring the violin back to center stage in the 21st century. Tickets are $30-$35. Illusion of Elvis: The award-winning Danny Vernon strives to recapture Elvis Presley’s appeal in his tribute show. See Vernon perform as Elvis 2:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St., Marysville. Vernon was named one of the top 10 Elvis tribute artists in the world by Elvis Presley Enterprises in 2010. He was also voted “Best Young Elvis” by Elvis’ own friends and stage entourage. Pink Martini: The band — with vocals by China Forbes — calls itself a “little orchestra” that crosses the genres of classical music, pop, Latin music and jazz.
