You’ve heard of baseball cards. Just think of these as trading cards for artists.
Artist trading cards are small, individual works of art in any medium that are traded, never sold. The cards are 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches — the same as sports trading cards — and flat enough to store like othe

Trading card designs vary and include photo collages, creations with fabric, watercolor paintings and paper cutouts.
This Saturday, the Arlington ATC Traders, who have been meeting and trading cards for six years, will hold its second arts and crafts “Heart to Hand” festival.
The fair’s focus is on the value and joy in handmade gifts and art for trade, said organizer and group member Bridget Clawson.
“We demo trading cards and people can come and take some home and keep or give as gifts or trade with others,” Clawson said.
Some of the ATC Traders will feature some of their handmade crafts and art for sale.
One of the artists is 103 years old and makes custom birdhouses for sale. Others, such as artist Rita Newberry, will show their handmade jewelry, felt hats, art quilts and mixed media art.
The ATC Traders also will encourage people to make their own trading cards while they learn more about the trade group, Clawson said.
“We have new members and members who have been trading the entire time we have existed,” Clawson said.
“Heart to Hand” runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Evonne’s Antique Mall, 340 Olympic Ave., Arlington.
Admission is free. For more information, call Clawson at 360-435-6223 or email her at clawson4855@msn.com.
