Schack Art Center: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday; 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Admission is free. See “Americans Interned: A Family’s Story of Social Injustice,” through Sept. 1. This exhibit shares the personal stories of the Japanese-Americans interned during World War II through portraits and mixed-media pieces by Chris and Jan Hopkins, the Schack’s Artists of the Year. Cascadia Art Museum: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. On third Thursdays, the museum is open until 8 p.m. and is free during Art Walk Edmonds hours, 5 to 8 p.m. The museum is at 190 Sunset Ave., Edmonds. Admission is $10, with discounts for seniors and students. Call 425-336-4809. “Alaska: Art of the Midnight Sun, 1930-1970,” through July 1. “Travelogue: Views Beyond the Northwest,” through Jan. 6. The museum now participates in the Blue Star Museums program, which offers free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Hibulb Cultural Center: Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; noon to 5 p.m. weekends. The exhibit “Tulalip Indian Fair” chronicles the fair, which was held annually from 1915-1927. These agricultural fairs were another way that the federal government tried to assimilate regional tribes, with the goal of training people to be farmers — replacing the traditional hunter-gatherer lifestyle. During these fair years, Tulalip people emphasized their Native handicrafts.

Juried Art Show: The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission is seeking paintings, prints, drawings, miniatures, calligraphy, photographs, 3-D and artisans’ works for its 40th annual Juried Art Show. More than $4,000 in prize money is available. Deadline for entries is Aug. 30. More at www.MLTarts.org.

See two exhibits by Edmonds students, showing through August. In the youth display case are works by Edmonds Community College student Nazar Patriy. See two paintings, “Ukrainian Household” and “Early Morning Song,” and four pencil and charcoal portraits. In addition, “Protect Our Bees,” featuring Edmonds-Woodway High School student artwork, is on display on the Frances Anderson Center playfield fence.

Edmonds Arts Festival: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St., Edmonds. The show features NW7, a group of seven artists from the Pacific Northwest on exhibit through July 31. Members paint together monthly. The exhibit will include four paintings by each artist. 88 Keys Gallery: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily at GroWashington Everett, 3013 Colby Ave., Everett; 425-293-8880; www.growashington.com. See works by Amanda Desiree Evelyn, a local mixed media botanical artist specializing in watercolor and pen and acrylic over vintage maps. Her artwork will be featured through July.

Everett Community College: Russell Day Gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays in Parks Student Union, 2000 Tower St., Everett. “EXHIBIT 298,” the annual student exhibition, is on display. The exhibit features the artwork of graduating and second-year students in ceramics, digital and media, graphic design, painting, photography and printmaking at Everett Community College.
