Schack Art Center: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett; 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Admission is free. Tour the Schack Art Center’s galleries, store, hot shop and silversmithing studio. Through Nov. 6, Schack-toberfest, celebrate fall with Everett’s glass pumpkin patch and harvest art festival. Make your own glass pumpkin. Bid on the fall silent auction. Also: The annual “Holiday Art” exhibit, this year featuring the Northwest Watercolor Society, will open on Nov. 18. Cascadia Art Museum: The museum, at 190 Sunset Ave. S., Edmonds, is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Admission for members and students is free, adults $10, military and seniors $7, and families (two adults and up to three children) $25. Smith,” featuring a well-known Seattle sculptor who began showing his work worldwide in the 1950s.

Hibulb Cultural Center: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; Free first Thursdays until 8 p.m. 6410 23rd Ave. NE, Tulalip; 360-716-2600; www.hibulbculturalcenter.org. Interactive displays introduce you to the legacy of the Tulalip people by giving you a historic perspective of the bands that make up the Tulalip Tribes. These stories are told in Lushootseed and English. Extended through October is “The Power of Words: A History of Tulalip Literacy,” an exhibit featuring the works of seven Tulalip authors and the original Point Elliott Treaty of 1855, on loan from the National Archives in Washington, D.C.

Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 703 S. Second St., La Conner. Admission is $7, with discounts for students, children, military and members. The exhibition “Dan Friday: Future Artifacts,” featuring the work of the Seattle-based glass artist, is showing through Nov 14. Friday’s inspiration is often drawn from his Coast Salish heritage.

Her abstract acrylic paintings are inspired by intuition, nature, movement and music. An artist’s reception is scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 30.

October’s featured artists are Beth Bridgers Johns and Christine Crowell. Johns is a photographer, while Crowell does oil paintings, encaustics and glass mosaics.

Alvarez is showing a series of 5-by-5-foot acrylic paintings on canvases. An artist’s reception is scheduled for Oct. 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. Also showing through December, is an Artspace Everett Lots group show featuring works by Christine Shannon, Patricia Ariel, Anna Balivet Jordan, Vicki Hammond, John Hales, Kathy Lynott and Cassandra Reed.

The exhibition, “The Contemporary Collective,” displayed through Nov. 1, features the work of Thomas McCafferty, C.A. Peirce, Scott Gellatly, Kimberly Adams and Cheryl Waale. An artist’s reception with Scott Gellatly — featuring live jazz from the Rich Cole Trio — is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 21.

Christopher “Siege” James describes his style as “industrial figurative” because he often uses type and technical imagery from atmospheric graphs and topographical maps.

Lucky Dime: 1618 Hewitt Ave., Everett, 4 to midnight Tuesday through Saturday; 425-512-9476; www.luckydimewa.com. On exhibition through November are works by Barbs Kinney. Kinney is showing a series of oil paintings inspired by viscera. Her work borders abstraction and representation. The exhibit includes nine paintings, three of which are 5-foot-by-5-foot.

Rob Schouten Gallery & Sculpture Garden: The gallery, at 101 Anthes Ave., Langley, is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. More at www.robschoutengallery.com. The next exhibition features the gallery owner himself: Rob Schouten’s “Aquatint Etchings and Paintings” will be on display through Nov. 1.

October’s featured artist is Lisa McShane. An oil painter, her recent work includes a series based on repeat visits to a beach on Padilla Bay.

Sunnyshore Studio: 2803 SE Camano Drive, Camano Island; 317-209-6768; www.sunnyshorestudio.com. The exhibition “Impressions of Camano,” featuring new artwork by watercolorist Jason Dorsey, will be showing 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 6 and 13. This is the first solo show of Dorsey’s work.
