Cascadia Art Museum: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. On third Thursdays, the museum is open until 8 p.m. and is free during Edmonds Art Walk hours, 5 to 8 p.m. Located at 190 Sunset Ave., Edmonds. Museum of Special Art: Noon to 4 p.m.Wednesday through Saturday, 720 238th St. SE, in Country Village, Bothell; www.museumofspecialart.org. The current show, “Heartfelt Possibilities,” continues through Oct. 24.

Edmonds Historical Museum: 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday in the old Carnegie Library, 118 Fifth Ave. N., Edmonds; $5 for adults $2 for students; 425-774-0900; www.historicedmonds.org. Through Nov. 6, see “Hook, Line and Sinker” is about commercial fishing, and draws from Hibulb Cultural Center, Nordic Heritage Museum and private collections. Photos, models, artifacts.

Schack Art Center: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday; 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett; 425-259-5050; www.schack.org. Free admission. Schack classes include drawing, printmaking, basketry, jewelry and metalsmithing, encaustic, painting, fused glass, blown glass. “Painted Glass: A Northwest Perspective,” curated by Dick Weiss, opens Oct. 6, is exhibited through Nov. 5 and features work by Paul Marioni, Ginny Ruffner, Weiss and others.

County Arts Commission: Six new pieces of art are on view through December at the Snohomish County government campus, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett, as part of the 2016 Sculpture Exhibition sponsored by the Snohomish County Arts Commission.

In Our Shoes — Form, Function and Fashion 1790 to 1970: This exhibit, curated by the Everett Museum of History, features more than 90 shoes worn by Snohomish County people. With support from the county Historic Preservation Commission, it is on view at the west county administration building, Rockefeller and Wall in Everett, through Oct. 20.

Arts of the Terrace juried art show: The 38th annual show is up through Oct. 9 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W. The show attracts artists from throughout the region. See it from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 2, 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 9.

Arlington Arts Council: The council’s annual Fall Into Art auction is 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Gleneagle Country Club, 7619 E. Country Club Drive, Arlington. Deadline to buy a ticket, $35, is Oct. 10. Call 360-435-5866 or buy one at Flowers By George on Olympic Avenue.

The Third Thursday Art Walk on Oct. 20 features oral history recordings from the Everett Museum of History.

Edmonds Library Gallery and Frances Anderson Center display case: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 650 Main St.

Edmonds Community College Art Gallery: 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until 2 p.m. Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. weekends; third floor, Lynnwood Hall, 20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood; edcc.edu/gallery. June Sekiguchi’s installation “River Run” is displayed through Dec. 8. Meet the artist 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 in the gallery. Inspired by rivers, Sekiguchi’s work involves manipulated material that is pattern based.

Everett Community College’s Russell Day Gallery: Through Oct. 14, see Jack Gunter’s zany installation “Secrets of the Mount Vernon Culture.” The gallery is in Parks Hall on campus, 2000 Tower St., Everett.

Gallery North: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at 401 Main St., Edmonds; 425-774-0946; gallerynorthedmonds.com. The October show has a playful theme of “The Olde Masters.” Artists featured are Mary Anderson, Bonnie Aubuchon, Kim Caldwell, Gayle Franklin, Delores Haugland, Paula Parks, Stan Rust, Mara sparks, Sam Spencer and John Vandebrooke.

A Guilded Gallery: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at 8700 271st St. NW, Stanwood; 360-629-2787; check www.stanwoodcamanoarts.com for class and workshop listings. Featured artist through Oct. 30 is LeElla Day, who works in pen and ink, oils, acrylics and watercolor. Reception set for 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 30.

Hibulb Cultural Center: Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m.weekends. Free first Thursdays until 8 p.m.; 6410 23rd Ave. NE, Tulalip; 360-716-2635; www.hibulbculturalcenter.org. “Vibrant Beauty: Colors of our Collection” is displayed until spring. The interactive exhibit allows visitors to explore how color has influenced Coast Salish people and how it is used today.

Lynnwood Convention Center: Works by the late Northwest painter Guy Anderson are displayed through a partnership with the Schack Art Center and Gallery Dei Gratia.

Matzke Fine Art Gallery and Sculpture Park: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday and by appointment at 2345 Blanche Way, Camano Island; 360-387-2759; www.matzkefineart.com. The seventh annual Art Auction for the Artists and Gallery is Oct. 1, with 90 pieces of fine artwork to be auctioned. Come at 4 p.m. to preview the artworks and enjoy food and beverages, $25 per person fee. The live auction starts at 5 p.m. Check out the website to see art in the auction.

Seagrass Gallery: 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Camano Island Marketplace, 848 N. Sunrise Blvd., Unit C; 360 631-0688. Offers the work of 35 local artists.

An Homage to the Raven: Whidbey Art Gallery’s Crow Show runs through October at 220 Second St., Langley. Reception 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 1.
