Chaim Bezalel and Yonnah Ben Levy: 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 16, Edmonds Bookshop, 111 Fifth Ave. S., Edmonds. The Stanwood-based husband and wife have been collaborating on mixed-media artwork since 1990. Erica Miner: Noon Aug. 18, Edmonds Bookshop, 111 Fifth Ave. S., Edmonds. Mine is touring with her sequel to the suspense thriller “Murder in the Pit,” a novel of assassination and intrigue at the Metropolitan Opera. “Death by Opera,” follows violinist Julia and her cohort, NYPD detective Larry, as they head to New Mexico for the opera season at the Santa Fe Opera House. McMorris’ historical fiction novel, “Sold on a Monday,” is about a struggling local paper that gains fame snapping photographs of unwanted children with devastating consequences. Greenwood’s “Rust & Stardust,” which is based on a true story, follows a little girl abducted by a man claiming to be an FBI agent who mentally and physically assaults her as they travel from Camden, New Jersey, to San Jose, California.
