Six noted authors will discuss writing and literature at the Possession Sound Visiting Writer’s Conference Thursday and March 9 at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St., Everett.
The conference kicks off with a reading at 7 p.m. Thursday by keynote speaker Mary Jo Salter. The conference concludes with readings from featured editors: David Biespiel, editor of Poetry Northwest; Andrew Feld, editor of the Seattle Review, and Brenda Miller, editor of the Bellingham Review. They will be joined by fiction writer Stacey Levine.
This year’s theme is “Memory and the Metaphor of the Muses,” honoring EvCC’s newly formed Humanities Center, which is focusing on the same theme in classes offered during this year’s fall and winter sessions. Muses are the traditional source of inspiration in the arts.
