Craft distilling is a growing trend and one of the best is in Bothell. Wildwood Spirits Co., which is run by distiller Erik Liedholm and Seattle restauranteur John Howie, recently won multiple awards at the New York World Wine &Spirits Competition for its gin and vodka.
Wildwood’s Kur gin, which was already named the top gin of 2014 in Wine &Spirits Magazine, received Best in Show, which recognizes it as the best gin in the international competition, and a double gold medal, and its Stark Vatten vodka was the recepient of a silver medal award.
Wildwood Spirits Co.’s distillery is set to open January 2015.
