Mamma Mia!
The Mother Of All Garage Sales lives up to its name.
Everett’s annual Northwest Neighborhood sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 5 has a motherload of stuff. Plus maps, food tucks and portable toilets in Drew Nielsen Neighborhood Park.
Last year, 125 families hosted sales. This year is expected to be the biggest yet.

Bra bling
Bra BeDazzle is the theme of a project to decorate Everett in sparkly bras in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Citrine Health wellness center is seeking craft items such as fabrics, beads, stickers, buttons, yarn, pipe cleaners, lace, leather, feathers — anything that sparkles, including cash donations. Also needed are volunteers from noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 31 at the center, 2940 W. Marine View Drive, to help bling the bras.

Some scenes in the new Amazon dark comedy series “The Scottish Play” were shot at The Sydney Bakery & Wine Bar in Mukilteo.
The plot is about a divorced director and his theater company who decide to put on “Macbeth” to prove to themselves and the world that they can tackle the infamous play, but troubles with superstition, alcohol, jealousy and madness could be the end of them. The show was produced in the greater Seattle area, and most of the cast and crew are Washington locals.
Why’d they choose Mukilteo? The location scout, Jennifer Pohle, was a student 15 years ago of Judy Schneider-Wallace, who was a Mukilteo School District elementary teacher before opening the bakery.
