Don’t you hate it when this happens? On “The Michael J. Fox Show,” Mike finds out that he has to work on Christmas Eve, which complicates his plans for a gift exchange with Annie (Betsy Brandt). 9:30 p.m., NBC.

On “Raising Hope,” Burt (Garret Dillahunt) becomes interim mayor of Natesville and gets Grinchy as he faces the unpleasant prospect of canceling the town’s Christmas festival. 9 p.m., Fox.
Saturday
We don’t know if it’s true or not, but rumor has it that every time you watch “It’s a Wonderful Life,” an angel gets his wings. Atta boy, Clarence. 8 p.m., NBC.
