Pick ‘n play: Now that you are a Guitar Hero, get ready for your World Tour. Activision has revealed game details regarding Guitar Hero: World Tour, its next release in the Guitar Hero franchise.
Turnabout is fair play, and as Rock Band absorbed some of the best elements of Guitar Hero, in World Tour you and your fellow band mates get:
A slick, newly redesigned guitar.
A genuine electronic drum kit.
A microphone.
A “Music Studio” that allows players to record, compose and edit their own tracks.
The largest on-disc set list to date.
A “Battle of the Bands” function allowing you to face off against another band online.
Sadly, roadies and groupies are not included.
As for pricing, there are numbers in the air, but with Harmonix’s Rock Band currently retailing at $169 you can bet your wammy bar that Guitar Hero: World Tour will be priced to compete.
Guitar Hero: World Tour is currently being developed for the 360, PS3, Wii and PS2. This game is not yet rated.
