Join a bird-watching tour from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday on Camano Island, led by Pam Pritzl of Skagit Audubon and Roxie Rochat, Camano Wildlife Habitat steward.
The walks cover shoreline and marsh area trails at English Boom Historical Park on Skagit Bay and Iverson Beach Preserve on Port Susan
. Diverse habitats include saltwater mudflats, marsh and beach.
Gather at Terry’s Corner park-and-ride lot, 860 N. Sunrise Blvd., behind Camano Island Coffee Roasters. Participants will carpool to the county parks.
The tour will take place rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars or scopes. No dogs allowed.
No reservations are required. Camano Wildlife Habitat Project (www.camanowildlifehabitat.org, 360-387-2236) is host for the tour sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks.
