Discounts for group-ticket sales for the Aug. 12 Everett concert of William Bolcom and Joan Morris are now on sale. The concert, at 8 p.m. at the Everett Civic Auditorium, benefits an Everett High School scholarship fund.
Tickets, priced at $32, $42 and $52, will be discounted $12 each for purchases of 10 or more tickets. The discounted tickets are on sale through the Everett Symphony office, 425-257-8382.
Regular ticket sales continue at the Everett Performing Arts Center box office, 2710 Wetmore Ave., 425-257-8600.
Bolcom, a world-renown composer and performer and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for music, graduated from Everett High School in 1955 and will be in town as part of the 50th reunion of that class.
He has written two operas, plus film scores, music for stage, chamber and vocal works and symphonic music.
He accompanies his wife, mezzo soprano Joan Morris, on the piano. They perform around the country, specializing in American popular songs from the late 19th century through the 1930s. They have made numerous recordings.
