Science fiction aficionados will be in outer space all summer as Seattle’s Science Fiction Museum presents Six Summer Evenings of Science Fiction on successive Tuesdays. This week’s reading, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, features Kelley Eskridge’s “Dangerous Space,” a new collection of stories from the author of “Solitaire.” The event is at the JBL Theater Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame at 325 Fifth Avenue N., Seattle. See www.clarionwest.org for more information.

Explore the wild and wonderful Methow Valley in a photo essay presentation by authors Amanda Lumry and Loren Wengard present “Methow Valley: Between Home and Heaven” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Third Place Books.

American cyclist Floyd Landis will talk about his short-lived bicycling victory and his book, “Positively False: The Real Story of How I Won the Tour de France” at 7 p.m. Thursday at Third Place Books. Landis was accused of doping and stripped of his winning jersey.

Northwest artist, entrepreneur and raconteur Jack Archibald will read from and sign copies of his book, “Skeeter Daddle Diaries: Reflections of a South End Nettle Farmer,” at 7 p.m. Friday at Snow Goose Bookstore in Stanwood. Archibald’s memoir is part recollection, part commentary of life on Camano yesterday and today.
