Booze Calendar: Libation-related events in Snohomish County

GEBL IPA Bracket Challenge: Everett’s Crucible Brewing is hosting the 2019 Greater Everett Brewers League IPA Bracket Challenge competition from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at the brewery, 909 SE Everett Mall Way, Suite D440, Everett. The Beer Judge Certification judging round begins at 8:30 a.m. and the Bracket judging round is at noon. The Best of Show judging is at 1:30 p.m.

Scuttlebutt Family Days: Everett’s Scuttlebutt Taproom is hosting Family Days on Saturdays at the taproom, 3314 Cedar St., Everett. There will be $2 root beers, cornhole, board games and music on two dates: Feb. 9: School of Rock; March 2: Caspar Babypants.

Release the Sky Kraken at Brigid’s: Edmonds’ Brigid’s Bottleshop is hosting Fremont Brewing for its Release the Sky Kraken, Fremont’s newest pale ale, at 6 p.m. Feb. 11 at the bottleshop, 190 Sunset Ave., Suite C, Edmonds.

Hop Mob Triple IPA event at Sound to Summit: Snohomish’s Sound to Summit Brewing is hosting a Washington Hop Mob Triple IPA event at 5 p.m. Feb. 12 at the brewery, 1830 Bickford Ave., Suite 111, Snohomish. There will be eight triple IPAs on tap from breweries around the state.

Stone Brewing at Route 2: Monroe’s Route 2 Taproom and Grazing Place is hosting Stone Brewing for a tasting at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at the taproom, 19837 U.S. 2, Monroe.

Skagit Valley Brewers Night: Snohomish’s Fred’s Rivertown Alehouse is hosting Skagit Valley brewers Bastion Brewing, Anacortes Brewing and Farmstrong Brewing for a tasting at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 at the alehouse, 1114 1st St., Snohomish.

Skookum tasting at Special Brews: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Arlington’s Skookum Brewery for a tasting at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Valentine’s Day Beer & Dessert Pairing at At Large: Everett’s At Large Brewing is hosting a Valentine’s Day Beer & Dessert Pairing at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the brewery, 2730 W. Marine View Drive, Everett. Tickets are $25 and include a sample tray of six At Large beers and six desserts.

Chocolate and Beer Pairing at Toggle’s: Everett’s Toggle’s Bottleshop is hosting a Chocolate and Beer Pairing at 4 p.m. Feb. 14 at the bottleshop, 1420 Hewitt Ave., Everett. There will be a flight pairing of four 5-ounce pours with four truffles.

Sound to Summit Brewing 4th anniversary: Snohomish’s Sound to Summit Brewing is hosting its fourth anniversary party Feb. 16 at the brewery, 1830 Bickford Ave., Suite 111, Snohomish. Sound to Summit will release its final beer in its 7 Summit Series and have the other six on tap as well.

Populuxe tasting at Center Public House: Snohomish’s Center Public House is hosting Seattle’s Populuxe Brewing for a tasting at 6 p.m. Feb. 20 at the pub, 115 Ave. A, Snohomish.

Whitewall 5th anniversary: Marysville’s Whitewall Brewing is hosting its fifth anniversary party from 1 to 8 p.m. March 2 at the brewery, 14524 Smokey Point Blvd., Suite 1, Marysville. There will be special beers and cigars from San Juan Cigars.

Washington Beer Open House: The 9th annual Washington Beer Open House is from noon to 5 p.m. March 2 at breweries across the state. For a list of participating breweries, go to washingtonbeer.com.
