Foggy Noggin Barleywine Vertical 2018: Bothell’s Foggy Noggin Brewing will host a vertical tasting of its Duck’s Ass English Barleywine from 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the brewery, 22329 53rd Ave SE, Bothell. The big barleywine is 11.2 percent ABV and is made with 100 percent English-grown floor malted barley, English-grown hops and dried fruits. A tasting of a fifth barleywine, Gold Label 2016, brewed to the specifications of Tennant’s 1954 Gold Label Barleywine. Tickets are $50 for the event, which is limited to 20 people.

Strange Brewfest: More than 30 breweries, including Everett’s Middleton Brewing, will be pouring inventive beers at Strange Brewfest from 5 to midnight Jan. 26 and from 1 p.m. to midnight Jan. 27 at the American Legion Hall, 209 Monroe St., Port Townsend. Pop-up IPA Festival at Lazy Boy: Everett’s Lazy Boy Brewing is hosting six other local breweries for a pop-up IPA festival from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at the brewery, 715 100th St. SE, Everett. Breweries include Naked City, Island Hoppin’, 192 Brewing, Flying Bike, Black Raven and Boundary Bay. Each brewery will provide two IPAs. Each ticket is $2 or $10 for six and $20 for 12.
9th annual Belgian Fest: The ninth annual Belgian Fest is from noon to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion, 305 Harrison St., Seattle. There will be more than 100 Belgian-style beers to try from a number of Washington breweries, including Everett’s Crucible Brewing and Lake Stevens Brewing.
