Hillary’s still in the running here: Which presidential candidate — and former presidential candidate? — would taste the best as a soda?
Seattle-based Jones Soda Co. launched a campaign of its own to find out.
Campaign Cola 2008 featuers bottles with John McCain’s, Hillary Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s mugs plus a clever soda name. There’s “Pure McCain Cola,” “Capitol Hillary Cola” and “Yes We Can Cola.” Visitors to the Jones Web site, www.campaigncola.com, can purchase a six-pack for $14.99 and vote for their favorite.
“The inspiration behind campaign cola was fun,” company spokesman Seth Godwin said. “We wanted to introduce our pure cane cola to America in a relevant way, what a more interesting and fun way to introduce it around a current relevant and historical event?”
In the spirit of “free speech and Miley Cyrus” the Web site offers forums for debate and information about voter registration. Plus they take on the most important of debates: soda or pop?
And maybe this says something about modern politics: All three sodas taste the same.
