Imagine a well-prepared four-course dinner presented in a pleasant atmosphere by friendly staff for UNDER $20! That’s what I’ve discovered at Chanterelle in Edmonds on Main Street (next to the Bank of America).
Start with soup, soup du jour or the restaurant’s own tomato bisque. Then move onto salad, a hard choice between the dressings on the tossed salad dusted with chopped hazelnuts or to “upgrade” to a baby spinach salad (add $2.50) or a Caesar (add $1.50). Then there is the entrée course: Three slices of Roasted Loin of Pork served with sweet blueberry demi-glace ($18.95); Medallions of beef shoulder loin wrapped with bacon and pan seared then finished with Port-laced Béarnaise with sautéed mushrooms ($19.95); Parmesan crusted turkey breast baked and served with creamy spinach sauce with a white wine tomato sauce dolloped on top ($18.95); and Halibut and two prawns skewered and marinated in soy and coconut milk flavored with sesame oil, cilantro and ginger served with Basmati Rice and Red Thai Curry Sauce ($20.95). Top it off with your choice between two dessert selections.
Now that’s a real meal deal!
