If you’re been curious about Green Everett – Snohomish County’s up-and-coming green-living, community-focused group – this weekend is your chance to learn more.
All you have to do is head to Zippys Java Lounge, 1804 Hewitt, Everett for the group’s montly meeting. Here’s the agenda:
3:30 p.m. — Come early to socialize, meet others. Bring an environmental book to swap.
4 p.m. — Meeting.
4:20 p.m. — Adam Fawcett, enrollment director for the Whidbey Island Waldorf School, will speak. Waldorf-style education is the fastest-growing independent school movement in the country, according to Green Everett’s monthly agenda. It is based on a deep understanding of the needs of the growing child and the maturing adolescent. Through a rich curriculum and innovative teaching methods, Waldorf education addresses the whole child, working to develop clarity in thought, balance in feeling and initiative in action.
5 p.m. — Eric Owl, a local educator working to integrate sustainable agriculture into schools, will speak.
5:30 p.m. — There will be a community discussion regarding the online Green Everett community.
