The time for being outdoors is here, and a class in Mount Vernon offers to teach people how to enjoy music and nature simultaneously.
Exploring Music with Nature and Ecological Themes, which is for ages 12 and older, runs 6 to 8 p.m. June 22 and 23 at the Vaux Retreat Center at Bakerview Park, 301 E. Fir St., Mount Vernon. The two-day class costs $48 and $50 total.
Topics include instruments and musical practices inspired by nature.
Call 360-336-6215 to register by Friday. A minimum of five students is required for the class to take place.
