We Are Everett 5K and Concert: Mary Lambert of “Same Love” fame (and an Everett native) is headlining this Everett Music Initiative event Sept. 29. The run is 4 p.m. at Washington State University-Everett, 915 N. Broadway, and the concert is 6 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium, 3802 Broadway, Everett. Tickets start at $45. Pacifica Chamber Orchestra: The orchestra’s opening concert is set for 3 p.m. Sept. 30 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 2301 Hoyt Ave., Everett. The program includes Kalinikov’s “Serenade for Strings,” Danzi’s “Wind Quintet Op. 56, No. 2” and Delius’ “Air and Dance for Strings.” Tickets are $20 adult, $15 seniors and students. Graham Nash: The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will play at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Ave. N., Edmonds. Nash is known for his tenor vocals and songwriting contributions with supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and British pop band The Hollies. Tickets start at $40. Skerryvore and We Banjo 3: Two award-winning folk-rock bands from the United Kingdom are playing at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Ave. N., Edmonds. Scotland’s Skerryvore fuses folk, rock, Celtic music and Americana together, while We Banjo 3, from Ireland, plays traditional Irish, old time and bluegrass. Tickets start at $19. One Night with Elvi: That’s Elvis, plural. An evening with some of the area’s foremost Elvis tribute shows, to benefit Everett Gospel Mission, 7 p.m. Oct. 12, Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 military, seniors and students. War: The longtime funk band known for transcending racial and cultural barriers plays at 8 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Tulalip Resort Casino, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip. War made several hits in the 1970s, including “Spill the Wine,” “The World Is a Ghetto” and “The Cisco Kid.” Founder and keyboardist Lonnie Jordan is the sole remaining original member. Gary Puckett and the Union Gap with The Box Tops: Two popular late 1960s pop and rock bands performing at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Historic Everett Theatre. Gary Puckett and The Union Gap, pop rock, achieved fame with its hits, “Woman, Woman,” “Over You” and “Young Girl” and were known to wear Civil War-inspired Union Army costumes. The Box Tops, from Memphis, were considered the top blue-eyed soul band in the country in the late ’60s, with hits including, “The Letter,” “Cry Like a Baby” and “Soul Deep.” Tickets start at $50. Everett Philharmonic Orchestra: The orchestra’s “Masterworks” concert will be performed 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave., Everett. The program includes Korngold’s “Violin Concerto in D Major” and features Svend Ronning on violin. Tickets are $25 general, $20 seniors and military, $10 youth and students with ID. Jennifer Scott Trio: The jazz, blues and world music trio plays at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Scott, a singer and pianist from Vancouver, B.C., is known for her vocal improvisations. She has shared the stage with jazz greats Tommy Banks, Don Thompson and Kenny Wheeler. Kaki King: The guitarist and composer will perform a multimedia concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Cascade Symphony Orchestra: The “Sibelius Violin Concerto” concert will be performed 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds.
