Carrie Underwood is a rarity among country stars, one of the few who gets respect from mainstream magazines as much as the Nashville press.

Her upcoming show at Comcast Arena is bound to bring thousands to Everett. She’s riding high after the release of her third album, “Play On,” which debuted at No. 1 on the weight of hit singles such as “Cowboy Casanova.”

Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, but fans can get an early crack at tickets starting Thursday. Info on that is below.

Granted, that’s not the only big show going on sale. Muse is coming with the Silversun Pickups. The Presidents of the United States will play a two-night stand in their hometown of Seattle. New Found Glory and Killswitch Engage are coming to town. Check it out.
