Concerts and musical performances around Snohomish County

Music at the Marina: Free outdoor concerts, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays, through Aug. 30, except Aug. 18 during Fresh Paint Festival of Working Artists, Port Gardner Landing, 1700 W. Tayla Lynn: The granddaughter of country legend Loretta Lynn is performing at 7:30 p.m. June 29 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St., Marysville. Tayla Lynn was a songwriter and singer for Stealing Angels. Tickets are $15 at the door. More at www.marysvillewa.gov or call 360-363-8400.

Tulalip Summer Concert Series: The 2018 Tualip Summer Concert Series continues with Creedence Clearwater Revivisted and Blue Öyster Cult at 7 p.m. June 29 at the Tulalip Amphitheatre, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip; 360-716-6000; www.tulalipresortcasino.com. Union Zero Gathering: This year’s Union Zero music festival, sponsored by the Everett Music Initiative, is from 8 p.m. June 29 to noon June 30 at 54770 Grant Road, Darrington. Celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Everett-based independent recording label. Hear more than 10 local bands over the two-day gathering. Two-day passes are $25. Stanwood Camano Flag Fest: The Chris Eger Band, Geoffrey Castle and Nick Vigarino will perform at the Stanwood Camano Flag Fest on July 7 at the Kayak Point Golf Course, 15711 Marine Drive, Stanwood. The festival, which runs from 5 to 10 p.m., is raising money to add a 40-foot American flag and pole to a smokestack in Stanwood. Tickets are $25, VIP tickets are $50. Stanwood Summer Concert Series: Shaggy Sweet is performing at the Stanwood Summer Concert Series at 4 p.m. June 24 in downtown Stanwood, 26929 102nd Ave. NW. The Seattle-based blues and rock ‘n’ roll band plays a mix of originals and covers. The free concert series continues every Saturday through Aug. 18. Next up is Mama Dirty Skirt on July 7, followed by Naughty Blokes (July 14), Moon Daddy (July 21), Mark DuFresne (Aug. 11) and The Chris Eger Band (Aug. 18). More at www.ci.stanwood.wa.us.

Marysville Sound of Summer Concert Series: Whiskey Fever will perform at 7 p.m. July 13 at Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Road, Marysville. The bluegrass and “rocky tonk n’ roll” band was voted Best Band of 2017 in Bellingham’s Cascadia Weekly. The show is part of the 2018 Marysville Sounds of Summer Concert Series, featuring live music every Friday from July 13 to Aug. 10. All concerts are free and begin at 7 p.m. Next up is Gin Gypsy, July 20.

Edmonds Summer Concerts in City Park: The Cliff Perry Band performs at 3 p.m. July 15 in Edmonds City Park, Third Avenue S. and Pine Street. Edmonds Hazel Miller Plaza Concerts: Cascade Percussion Ensemble kicks off the concert series on July 17 at Fifth Avenue S. and Maple Street. Noon to 1 p.m. for Tuesday shows and 5 to 6:30 p.m. for Thursday shows. Free. Concerts take place rain or shine. More at www.edmondswa.gov/summer-concerts.

Soulevard: The Kirkland band is performing at 5:30 p.m. July 19 at the Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St., Marysville. Soulevard plays blues, soul and jazz covers, as well as some R&B and funk tunes. Tickets are $5. More at www.marysvillewa.gov or call 360-363-8400.

Remedy Drive: The alt rock band from Nashville will perform at 7 p.m. July 19 at the Legion Memorial Park, 114 N. Olympic Ave., Arlington. The concert is sponsored by Calvary Church and the park’s stage builder, Johnny Green. More at calvaryarlington.com.

Octava Chamber Orchestra: The Edmonds-based orchestra’s final concert of the season is at 7:30 p.m. July 21 at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St. The “Summer Chamber Music Extravaganza,” program featues music from around the world. Darrington Bluegrass Festival: The 42nd annual festival is July 21-23, Darrington Bluegrass Music Park, 3 miles west of town on Highway 530; 360-436-1006. Features nationally known and regional bluegrass bands. Be sure to see the Combinations, the band led by Darrington’s Bertha Nations. Canalón de Timibquí: The all-female group will perform African and Latin American traditional music unique to Colombia’s Pacific coast at 7:30 p.m. July 25 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. The group sings and plays marimbas, guasa percussion and other drums to embody the spirit of the jungle, the river and the miners from their region. Tickets start at $19. Sattar: The Persian singer who goes solely by his last name will perform at 9 p.m. July 28 at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. Sattar, who specializes in both pop and classical music, is the favorite of The Persian Royal Family and Persia’s most idolized vocalist of our contemporary time. Tickets range from $50 to $80.
