Concerts and musical performances around Snohomish County and nearby

Chris Knight: The well-known singer/songwriter from Kentucky — who has been compared to Prine, Cash and Springsteen — comes to Loco Billy’s Wild Moon Saloon, 27021 102nd Ave. NW, for a concert 9 p.m. June 22. Tickets are $20 at brownpapertickets.com or $25 at 6:30 p.m. at the door. The Lowdown Drifters open with an acoustic set. Knight describes his music as country, rock, roots and even pop.

The Spur Festival: The third annual country music festival (rock, bluegrass as well) is June 22-25 at the Darrington music park. Ticket prices vary. For information, go to www.thespurfestival.com.

Washington Old Time Fiddlers Jam: Join the acoustic jam or listen to the group that meets at 5 p.m. June 23 at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. Celtic jam is first, occasional workshop 6 p.m., circle jam at 6:15 p.m. Refreshments and snacks provided. For information, contact Noel Lareau at 360-691-5907.

The Fabulous Roof Shakers: Stanwood’s free summer concert series begins with the R&B sounds of the Shakers from 4 to 6 p.m. June 24 on 270th Street in west Stanwood. A full list of the series concerts will appear in the June 29 issue of the Herald’s A&E section.

Lucas Victor: Hear classical guitar music from Argentina, Spain and baroque Europe at 5 p.m. June 24 at Cafe Zippy, 1502 Rucker Ave., Everett. Lucas was a finalist in the youth division of the Northwest Guitar Festival in 2015-16, and was a finalist in the adult competition in Portland this year. Admission is $5 to $10.

Summer Solstice Music Fest: This fundraiser for the nonprofit Northwest Equine Stewardship Center is noon to 6 p.m. June 25 at Cedarbrook Farms, 9812 215th Ave., Snohomish. The musicians include Natalie Wouldn’t playing ska, the Black Dog acoustic rock trio, Sean “Spare Rib” Horst performing bluegrass, Americana artist Hannah Duffy, Eric Mueller singing songs of the 1960s, and The Kings, Simple Minded Symphony and School of Rock. Aaron Larget-Caplan and Peter Janson: Hear virtuoso guitar music from this duo at 4 p.m. June 25, Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. More at www.thumbnailtheater.org.

Live at the Opera House: 5 p.m. third Thursdays, Marysville Opera House, 1225 Third St. Admission is $5. The series schedule is July 20: Soulevard. Aug. 17: The Margaret Wilder Band.
