Seattle fans of Jay Farrar will have to settle for his show with Son Volt on Dec. 4.

So far, Farrar and Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard don’t plan on playing Seattle when they promote a recent collaboration.

The two singers teamed up to record music for a new documentary about beat writer Jack Kerouac. They plan on playing a few select dates to promote the work.

Seattle fans will have to settle for pre-ordering the soundtrack to “One Fast Move or I’m Gone: Kerouac’s Big Sur” here.

Also, tickets are on sale now for composer Mateo Messina’s “Symphony of the Superhero.”

The Benaroya Hall concert features Cut Chemist, and is billed as being “a journey through bravery in the face of peril, exploring the heroes we’ve grown up with, the heroes we admire today, and those we look to for inspiration.”

Ticket details are below.

  • Son Volt, Dec. 4, Neumos, Seattle; $17.50; on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
  • Warren G, Nov. 22, Neumos, Seattle; $18; on sale now.
