Santa slays Martians? Nothing says Christmas like a little alien abduction.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum plans to hold a free screening of “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians,” a cult flick often called one of the worst movies of all time. In the movie, a pair of Martians kidnap Santa to please Martian children. Then things get really nutty.
Jet City Improv will perform during the movie. The comedy troupe will provide new dialogue, sound effects and a soundtrack during the opening credits and beginning scenes.
The screening, which may not be suitable for all ages, will be held at EMP/SFM, 325 Fifth Ave. N., Seattle. Reservations are recommended. Call 877-367-7361 for a seat. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the screening to claim the seat. Dress up as Santa or a Martian — or both — to win an EMP/SFM membership.
