Decided to take in the UW men’s exhibition game against Seattle Pacific. As expected, it’s a little sloppy and disorganized, but you can’t deny the Huskies have talent. It’s young talent, but it’s there and it’s intriguing.
Ironically, the best player on the floor in the first half is SPU’s Ryan Diedrichs, who has 18 points in 15 minutes of playing time. A 6-8 forward from Shorewood High School, Diedrichs is 8-for-14 from the floor.
Among the Huskies, Venoy Overton, freshman point guard, is dazzling. The Huskies haven’t had a true point guard in too long. Overton has eyes on the back and each side of his head. Dude’s everything they said he was.
