I don’t know about you, but I have to be carried kicking and screaming out of summer. One of life’s purest enjoyments is dining on the patio or deck of a restaurant catching the final warm rays at lunchtime or celebrating the earlier sunset.
Lucky for us Northwesterners September stays warm enough for us to enjoy deck days a little longer. Those restaurateurs with patio heaters the deck dining season is further extend, carrying the alfresco season to October!
This week’s plan is to land on the lakeside deck at Emory’s Lake House by 6 p.m. to enjoy an evening at Silver Lake and have some of that terrific artichoke dip until the chill drives me indoors for dinner.
