The Hawks Nest
The Hawks Nest Bar &Grill is planning its grand opening for Sunday at 1028 First Ave. S. in Seattle’s SoDo district.
The new bar and grill is one block north of Safeco Field and one block west of Qwest Field.
“As a sports fanatic and diehard Seahawks fan I was looking for a place that catered to my passions and had that great family atmosphere,” Rachel Kessel, co-owner of The Hawks Nest, said in press release. “The problem was that it didn’t exist so we had to do it on our own.”
Signature dishes will include steamed manila clams, three varieties of wings, homemade chili and a grilled salmon BLT.
Along with food and drink specials, 16 beers on tap and a full bar, The Hawks Nest will feature seven flat-screen high-definition televisions, each wired with the NFL Package; wireless Internet; one television dedicated to the Red Zone Channel, and a surround sound speaker system wired throughout the restaurant.
The restaurant seats 110 people (including outdoor patio) and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. A special “pre-game” breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. on game days.
“We’ve gone to great lengths to make this a place that people feel welcomed,” co-owner Joe Piano said.
