Wine dinner
Chef Ericka Burke begins her 2009 wine dinner series Saturday with Walla Walla winemaker Anna Schafer of Maurice Cellars. Schafer, who is considered one of the best young winemakers in the state, is devoted to following sustainable viticulture guidelines to produce her award-winning wines.
Wine dinners at the Volunteer Park Cafe are not for wine snobs; no white linen tablecloths, no intimidating line-up of crystal stemware, no uncomfortable silence while guests swirl, sniff and sip. Volunteer Park Cafe wine dinners are much like the cafe itself: funky, casual and fun.
Join Burke and Schafer for a multi-course, family-style meal paired with the wines of àMaurice Cellars.
All wine dinners begin at 7 p.m. Cost is $95 (excluding tax and gratuity). Reservations are required and can be made by calling 206-328-3155.
