You might not expect a costume and party supply superstore to carry some of the most creative Christmas tree trim in the land, but that is certainly the case at Display &Costume, a family-owned operation in full swing for the holidays in both Everett and Seattle.

While Display &Costume’s busiest days of the year are around Halloween, staff use the store’s substantial square footage throughout the year to sell goods for every major holiday.

Right now, you’ll find nearly everything imaginable for Christmas – from a wide assortment of Department 56 collectibles to supersize “Star Wars” Pez dispensers – at the Everett store.

Searching for Christmas stockings? Display &Costume in Everett has sizes in red and white from 5 1/2 inches long to 5 feet tall.

If you need a Santa suit, Display &Costume carries outfits for Mr. and Mrs. Claus as well as a wide selection of long, white beards and wigs.

If you’re in the market for glitzy Christmas trees or trim, check out the shop’s 17 theme trees along with fabulous trim, including glittery faux hydrangea blossoms, sprigs of elegant pearls and decorative peacock feathers.

One razzle-dazzle display room is filled exclusively with red, white and silver trees trimmed with only red, white and silver. You’ll also find a huge selection of prelit artificial trees in another area of the store.

Everett store manager Angie Durham is one of the many cheery employees at the store.

“Oh, it’s so fun,” she said to a customer checking out. “This is my favorite time of the year. Everyone’s so happy.”

Display &Costume is at 5209 Evergreen Way, Everett (425-353-3364) and at 11201 Roosevelt Way NE, Seattle (206-362-4810). See www.displaycostume.com for more details.
