Main stage season tickets for five shows are $98. Main stage show times are at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds. Call 425-774-9600 or go to www.driftwoodplayers.com.
The 2010-2011 season lineup, according to the Players’ website, is:
“The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940”: Sept. 10. This is not your father’s murder mystery. Though there’s a heinous crime, there are also lots of jokes, a song, weird party guests and a strange sidekick.
“Annie”: Nov. 19. Leapin’ lizards, that spunky orphan is back, looking for love and finding it, along with fortune and a treasure chest of timeless songs.
“The Miracle Worker”: Feb. 4. This is based on the true-life story of tutor Annie Sullivan, who brought a deaf, blind and mute Helen Keller into the world through persistence, patience and love.
“Nunsense”: April 1. This is heavenly humor from the Little Sisters of Hoboken who try to make money in a hilarious fundraiser to bury the sisters who died after an unfortunate cooking accident.
“Born Yesterday”: June 10. A millionaire’s shady business dealings in Washington, D.C., are threatened by his embarrassingly ignorant mistress. So he tries to educate her, only to find she is a quick study and tries to throw a wrench in his plans.
