The Driftwood Players presents a PlayCafe evening featuring the Players’ comedy improvisation troupe, “Sack O’ Nuts,” this weekend at Cafe on the Terrace in Mountlake Terrace.
The kitchen staff can follow recipes for the three-course meal, but the Nuts have to improvise the entertainment for the evening.
Sack O’ Nuts plays at 7 p.m. today and Saturday (doors open at 6:30) at Cafe on the Terrace, 22826 56th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace. Dinner price is $13 plus tax, beverage and gratuity. Reservations are required at 425-712-9112.
“High Noon in the Styrofoam”: Driftwood Players present an evening of old-fashioned melodrama with two short plays by Jeff Irvin.
First is a shoot-‘em-up western with the innocent heroine and evil villain, followed by a King Arthur-based story with a sword fight over the beautiful princess.
Raucous cheers and angry boos are welcome, with laughter and happy endings guaranteed.
Performances of “High Noon in the Styrofoam” are at 7 p.m. Sunday and July 25 and 8 p.m. Monday and July 26 at Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds.
Tickets are $10, which includes a dessert buffet following the performance.

“Winnie-the-Pooh”: Driftwood Players continues presentation of its first musical for children – “Winnie-the-Pooh,” with lyrics by A.A. Milne, music by Allan Friedman, adapted by Kirsten Sergel.
Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday through July 25 at Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds.
