It’s Friday so I’ll try to be brief.
This is your early warning buzzer for Earth Day. It’s April 22.
To get you inspired, the Earth Day Network is selling a groovy 2008 poster, featuring a penguin, everyone’s favorite polar mascot — polar bears are soooooo 2007 — staring curiously at a sunflower growing out of the ice.

Also, a HUGE green event is coming up in Seattle more than a week before Earth Day.
It’s the Seattle Green Festival April 12-13 at the Washington State Convention &Trade Center. It’s a joint project of Global Change and Co-op America, both national nonprofits.
Similar events in other cities have drawn tens of thousands. We’ll see what happens.
