Seattle writer Benjamin Schmitt will read from his new collection of poetry, “The Saints of Capitalism,” in a virtual event hosted by Edmonds Bookshop.
The event is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. Jan. 20 on Facebook Live. Schmitt will read from his new work and answer questions about his life and writing, in conversation with writers Brian Langston and Karla Mancero.
Schmitt’s new book is slated to release Jan. 14. He is the author of four books, and his poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Sojourners, Antioch Review and a number of other publications. A co-founder of Pacifica Writers’ Workshop, he has written articles for The Seattle Times and At The Inkwell.
