A fair amount of green: If the phrase “go green” sounds like an ecstatic rallying cry to you, then Edmonds may just be your mecca on Saturday.
The city plans a green-living festival, organized by Green for Good, an Edmonds group promoting sustainable living.
Speakers will discuss such issues as solar power basics and how to hold eco-friendly holiday celebrations. Children can play in a craft area that uses recycled goods, while booths promise to provide sustainable products and organic foods.
The free event is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Frances Anderson Center Playfield, 700 Main St., Edmonds.
