Everett Community College students perform a postmodern version of Chekhov’s “The Seagull” opening Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at EvCC’s Baker Hall, Room 120.
The Russian drama, set in a country estate, is laced with love triangles, heartbreak and family squabbles as a famous actress and her lover descend upon her brother and her son for a holiday.
“The Seagull” continues at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 and 23, and Dec. 5 through 7.

The Whidbey Island Center for the Arts presents a family-friendly comedy done in story-telling fashion using face masks.
“Grim and Fischer” is a production by the Wonderheads Theatre company at 7:30 tonight on the Michael Nutt Main Stage.
The story is about intractable Mrs. Fischer who mounts a pitched battle when the Grim Reaper comes calling. Mrs. Fischer is not going to go gently into that good night.
