Agent Abe and his fellow agents Ace, Acorn and Smith are on a mission of finding themselves a home to call their own. There has been a leak of classified information: They are searching for lots of toys to play with, a lap to sleep in and lots and lots of yummy treats. Agent Abe and his fellow agents will consider this mission complete when they’ve found the perfect home. (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)
The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now.
If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.

Disco is a handsome young man looking for a new home! He will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and a feline free home. Disco has spent most of his time outside so may need a refresher course in house training. Disco is an escape artist, adopters will need to have a good confinement plan in action. While here our volunteers have been working on leash walking and a few other things. He is like a giant puppy and ready to learn. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Some might call Emily Anne a bit of a diva, but she would just tell you she has the refined taste of a cat of her age! She enjoyed being queen of the castle in her previous home. She had picked out the perfect human (not all meet her standards) to scratch her back, comb her fur, and wave a wand toy at her bidding. Suddenly, two other cats were ‘rescued” and Emily Anne felt like she had to fight for her territory. She has been to the vet many times for bite wounds and a seasonal allergy and she’d rather avoid that place. Emily Anne dreams of being the only cat in an adult-only home with someone who will lavish attention solely on her! (Arleigh Movitz/Everett Animal Shelter)

Gypsy is an adorable little dog looking for a calm predictable home. Gypsy does not do well with children and needs an adult only home. Any resident dogs must be larger than her (over 10lbs) and will need a meet and greet prior to adoption. Gypsy is a very particular about who she likes and it takes her a while to warm up. She is pretty independent and is not the cuddly type. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

She will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and she may chase cats. Kali is not suited for apartment style living as she can get a bit loud and really needs a fenced yard to burn of some energy! (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

Pepito is an active little guy looking for an adult only home! He enjoys playing with some dogs but will need a meet and greet with any resident canines prior to adoption. He must have a feline free home. Pepito needs his space so slow proper introductions are a must. He does bark often so is not suited for apartment living. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
